Bulova women's watches were created by a 23 year-old Czechoslovakian named Joseph Bulova from Bohemia. He traveled to New York City where he created a jewelry shop in 1875. Then in 1911 he built his 1st plant that constructed timepiece components. In 1919, the Bulova company released their own wrist watches to the public. They also aided the military simply by creating wrist watches developed specifically for battle fields in World War I. After 4 years, Joseph changed the business name to Bulova Watch Company, Inc. The following year the company developed wrist watches for women with a diamond touch in each piece making it look much more feminine. From then on the company acquired popularity.
